At Beyondia Ikebukuro, birthdays are a special time to celebrate each child as part of our school family. Each month, we gather all classes to honour students’ birthdays with songs, smiles, and cheerful messages.
Beyondia Ikebukuroでは、子どもたちのお誕生日を学校の家族の一員としてお祝いする特別な時間としています。毎月、全クラスで集まり、歌や笑顔、楽しいメッセージでお祝いします。

During the celebration, the birthday children are invited to stand in front of their friends and teachers. They receive warm applause and birthday wishes from everyone, making them feel appreciated and special.
お祝いの時間には、主役の子どもたちが友だちや先生の前に立ちます。みんなからの拍手やお祝いの言葉を受け、特別で大切にされている気持ちを味わいます。

We always sing birthday songs together, adding to the excitement and festive atmosphere. The children love seeing their classmates clap, cheer, and join in the celebration.
お誕生日の歌はいつも全員で歌います。友だちが拍手や声援でお祝いしてくれる姿は、子どもたちにとって嬉しい瞬間です。

After singing, we hold a special Birthday Q&A session. During this, all schoolmates have the chance to ask the birthday child questions about anything—from favourite toys to favourite activities. It is always full of laughter, curiosity, and meaningful conversations!
歌の後は、特別なお誕生日Q&Aセッションを行います。友だち全員が、主役の子どもに好きな遊びや好きなものなど、なんでも質問できる時間です。笑いと好奇心にあふれ、楽しい会話が広がります。

Celebrating birthdays together connects deeply to our PYP philosophy. Children practise being communicators, thinkers, and caring friends as they listen, respond thoughtfully, and show respect to the birthday child. It also supports our Units of Inquiry by encouraging them to reflect on themselves, understand others, and build a positive classroom community.
お誕生日をみんなでお祝いすることは、IB PYPの理念とも深くつながっています。子どもたちは、聞く力や考える力、思いやりのある友だちとしての態度を育みます。また、自分や友だちを理解し、より良いクラスのコミュニティを作ることを学ぶ、探究学習の一環にもなります。

Celebrating birthdays together is more than just fun: it teaches kindness, curiosity, and respect, while strengthening friendships across classes. We are grateful for the opportunity to mark each child’s milestone as a community.
みんなでお誕生日をお祝いすることは、ただの楽しい時間ではありません。優しさや好奇心、思いやりを学び、クラスを越えた友情を育む機会にもなります。子どもたちの大切な成長の瞬間を、学校全体で共有できることに感謝しています。
