This month in K2, our Show and Tell theme is “My Magical Door”. The children are designing doors that lead to magical worlds straight from their imagination. Each child creates a unique door and describes where it takes them, practising English vocabulary and sentence structures in a fun and creative way.
今月、K2クラスのショーアンドテルのテーマは「わたしの魔法のドア」です。子どもたちは、自分の想像の世界につながる魔法のドアをデザインします。一人ひとりがオリジナルのドアを作り、そこにどんな場所に行けるのかを発表しながら、楽しみながら英語の語彙や文章の構造を学んでいます。

For example, one student shared:
例えば、一人の子どもはこのように発表しました：

“This is my magical door that takes me to a place called Castle in the Clouds! It is full of sweets. Many magical creatures live there! If you are nice and kind, you may be lucky to meet cute unicorns and enjoy eating sweets together, but if you are not very good, you may meet an evil witch who tries to scare you with lightning! The castle is so wonderful to be in because it has a rainbow slide. Let’s visit it together!”

「これは私の魔法のドアで、“雲の上のお城”に行けます！そこはお菓子でいっぱいの場所です。たくさんの魔法の生き物が住んでいます！優しくて良い子なら、可愛いユニコーンに会えて一緒にお菓子を楽しめます。でも悪い子だと、雷で脅かす悪い魔女に会うかもしれません！このお城は虹の滑り台があるので、とても素敵な場所です。一緒に行きましょう！」

Preparing for Show and Tell is not only a chance for children to practise English, but also a wonderful opportunity for families to work together on a creative project. Families may help design the magical door, a dinosaur park, a new planet, or any other imaginative idea. It’s a time for creativity, collaboration, and sharing stories that inspire imagination.
ショーアンドテルの準備は、子どもたちが英語を練習するだけでなく、ご家庭で一緒にクリエイティブなプロジェクトを楽しむ素晴らしい機会にもなります。家族と一緒に魔法のドアや恐竜の公園、新しい惑星などをデザインし、アイデアを形にする時間は、創造力や協力の心、物語を共有する楽しさを育みます。
